CASHMERE - Cashmere is a natural speciality animal fibre, derived from the soft undercoat of a range of goat breeds. It is painstakingly processed: downy wool is cleaned by a
machine to remove any top hairs or dirt and the fibres are sorted by hand. Cashmere’s extremely fine fibres - typically between 7 and 19 microns - create exceptional
softness, warmth and lustrous quality. Excellent insulation properties make it an ideal material for use in mattresses.
LAMBSWOOL - Lambswool offers a wide range of qualities which make it a very useful mattress material. Known for its durability, wool’s springy, resilient fibre structure contains pockets of air to provide breathable performance.
Wool can help to regulate body temperature and create a naturally anti-microbial environment which retains an ideal balance of moisture and prevents mould and mildew.
COTTON - Grown in a protective case, around the seeds of the cotton plant, cotton’s soft, fluffy fibre is almost entirely made of cellulose. The fabric is strong, durable, breathable
and feels cool against the skin. Unlike synthetic fibres, cotton is non-allergenic and is also an eco-friendly, renewable resource.
SILK - With its smooth, soft texture, silk is one of the most luxurious and comfortable materials. Silk fibre comprises approximately 80% fibroin, which is protein in nature,
and 20% of sericin, which is otherwise called silk gum. Silk’s continuous yarns make it one of the strongest natural fibres available. It is lightweight, breathable,
hypoallergenic, highly lustrous and highly resistant to mould and mildew.
